glock 23 vs 19 size

Glock 23 Vs 19 Size - Often outperformed by the more popular Glock 19, the higher quality Glock 23 still has plenty for the discerning shooter. While it's not as easy to handle as the 19, the Glock 23 uses .40 caliber pistol ammunition, offering more stopping power.

Increased strength is the main reason police departments across the country have designated the G23 over the G19, but the military's benefits aren't limited to those in uniform.

Chambered with .40 caliber ammunition, the Glock 23 offers a solid middle ground between the ease of use of the Glock 19 and the stopping power of a larger caliber.

Although it looks similar to the Glock 19 when you get it, the Glock 23 sets it apart when you pull the trigger. Using a .40-inch round adds a full millimeter in diameter to each bullet, and the effect on recoil is immediately apparent.

Despite the increased feel, which I will discuss in depth, the firearm is still as accurate as any other Glock I. has been used.

The Glock 23 comes with three-point plastic (one in the front, two in the back). As a sightless rifle, the stock sights do the job well enough, but I would definitely recommend getting a market sight, especially if you intend to use the firearm in low light conditions.

Glock has a solid reputation for making guns that you can trust with life and the Glock 23 is no exception. This gun basically shoots anything you put it on without complaint.

When using my weapon, there is no damage. It seems to be in line with all the other Glocks I've owned and used over the years, so I'm not surprised.

One thing that worries me is how the larger caliber can increase the wear on the gun compared to the 9mm of the Glock 19. Anyway, time will tell, and so far Glock pistols have stood the test of time.

As mentioned earlier, the Glock 23 is physically identical to the Glock 19, with similar dimensions and weight.

Like the Glock 19, then, the G23 is wide enough to handle well, with a comfortable 4-inch barrel. The sight is easy to install, and the simple, simple design of the pistol makes it easy to grip and handle.

The Glock 23 has a trigger safety system, which requires a full purchase to lower the trigger. It does not include a manual safety, which is part of the design as a defensive weapon.

While I support any feature in a firearm that reduces the risk of accidental discharge, I appreciate a simple but effective trigger safety design.

If you're in a situation where you have to defend yourself, you don't have time to think about hand safety, and the Glock 23 trigger safety is designed with that situation in mind. At the end of the day, the best safety is situational awareness and self-control.

The reason the Glock 23 is designed is to recreate the same reliable and usable pistol as the Glock 19, but equipped with a larger caliber, .40 round. Therefore, the magazine of the 23 has fewer rounds (13) compared to the Glock 19 (15 rounds).

One of the features of the Glock 23 is the interchangeable magazine grip, which can be moved in any direction that is most comfortable for you. Although not as easy as the ambidextrous release, this feature is still great for the southpaws out there.

The Glock 23 has the same size and shape as the Glock 19. It measures 7.36" x 5.04" x 1.26" overall, with Glock's "signature" square shape.

The empty weight measures 21.16 oz, the same as the G19, but the loaded magazine makes the G23 slightly heavier in comparison.

The Glock 23 measures smaller and lighter than the Glock 22, which uses the same .40 caliber in a larger frame and magazine. This makes it more suitable for concealed carry, while maintaining the accuracy and stopping power of a full pistol.

The recoil on the Glock 23 is what sets it apart from the Glock 19, for me.

23 has flipped the big muzzle as the steel slide moves back and then forward in place. This made it harder for me to line up quickly after the shot, and it took some getting used to.

I guess there are some disadvantages to play steel in a polymer frame, and this is one of them. The flip muzzle can be worn on the wrist all day long, and it surprised me when I used the same gun as the Glock 19.

However, in a defensive situation, the extra stopping power of the .40 caliber round should outweigh the slower rate of fire of the Glock 23.

In terms of price, the Glock 23 is definitely a step up from the Glock 19, both in terms of gun and ammo.

With an MSRP of $600, the Glock 23 is still very affordable. .40 caliber ammunition, however, will cost you at least twice as much as buying 9mm rounds. With that being said, no other bullet is as cheap and versatile as the 9mm, so it's not the fairest comparison.

The Glock 19 is popular for a reason: cheap, easy to use, and widely available, Glock has made a household name for itself.

But in actual combat, the 9mm ammunition left something to be desired, so the .40 S&W was made for US officers.

Compared to the 19, the Glock 23 is more expensive and more difficult to use. But this flaw comes with a much-needed increase in stopping power, making this pistol a very effective choice as a service pistol.

As a private owner, you will find the Glock 23 to be a good choice for a non-volatile handgun for home defense or everyday carry. The Glock's reliability and ease of use with high-quality bullets make it a great tool for self-defense.

I have been using the Gen 5 Glock 19 since late August and have put about 4,000 rounds through it since then. I have opened it for static accuracy and in training dynamic protection from hiding, with and without lights attached to the groove. I have also spent time with disassembled, understand internal modifications and problems with replacing parts (because Glocks are fun hobby tools).

For the most part, the Gen 5 Glock 19 is just a Glock 19, but there are some interesting and odd changes that are worth checking out. There are also some caveats that early buyers should be aware of. I hope to cover most of everything here, but keep in mind that these views are from less than 2 months of use, several times a week. More time can tell another story.

Most of this review will address the differences of the Gen 5 from previous versions and specific Gen-5 user concerns (for portability, shooting, accessories, etc…). The first and best reason to consider this pistol is because it is a Glock 19; arguably the best handgun ever made. It is large enough to be a duty rifle and offers functional accuracy and substantial magazine capacity while being small and light enough for everyday concealed carry.

Additionally, we cannot ignore the reliability record that Glock pistols offer. From my own experience, I have shot well over 100,000 rounds through the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock pistols and the only errors I have ever experienced are due to replacement parts or Glock failures and botched Cerakote jobs. With stock parts, Glock pistols are nearly functional, even in difficult situations.

Especially for Gen 5, you may want to consider the new Glock 19 for several compelling reasons. First, the sliding lock lever is now double-sided. So if you are a lefty, change the mag-release to the right and
